Is this a tiger? Is this a plant? No, it’s Tigrou!

Tigrou was my cat for almost a decade when I was a teenager.

I used to feed his mother, called Rantanplan, like the dog of the comic character Lucky Luke. Rantanplan lived as a (not so)wild cat in the nature around my parents’ house. One day I heard some meowing outside my window and I found three kittens hidden under the heap of wood meant for the chimney. At that time, Tigrou and his brother and sister were the size of my palm. Unfortunately, Tigrou was the only one that got to be a grown up cat…

He started playing with me from the moment I found him. Even if he was very small, he used to behave like a tiger, that’s why I called him “Tigrou”, the French name for the Winnie the pooh character Tigger.

What a wild cat!

He grew up to be the sweetest pet, but like most cats that live outside in the nature, he got lost one summer and I never saw him again…
