Amy Winehouse, wild flower
Back in 2009, I used to listen to Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black all the time. I think that it must be one of the albums I most listened to in my entire life…
I bought the CDs, DVDs, singles, records… any new music I could find by this talented singer. I quickly gathered a nice collection and I enjoyed listening to it as much as looking at it. Indeed, in addition to her music being great and inspiring, Amy developed a personality and a graphic look that made her really loveable.
I wanted to know more about her, so I started collecting information about her on the web. I found lots of stunning images. I guess her make up, hairstyle and retro clothes really made her beauty unique. So I decided to launch a website about Amy, to show to the world that she was more than a tabloid girl, that she was an artist, and even more: an icon.
As part of this project, I made the following graphic with illustrator. I wanted to use it in the webdesign, but as I dropped the project, it ended up being just a wallpaper.
I wanted to picture her as a beautiful and fragile creature.
I can’t believe she’s already gone.
